Appliance Service Pro Terms Of Use

Appliance Service Pro ensures transparency and fairness in all customer transactions as part of our commitment to providing top-quality appliance repair services. The following terms and conditions apply to all services we provide, including refrigerator repair, dryer repair, dishwasher repair, and cooktop repair. By using our services, you acknowledge and agree to these terms of service and our service agreement.

Before allowing our technician to commence service, it is the responsibility of the customer to review these terms. If you have any questions or concerns, please get in touch with us before scheduling your appointment.

Non-Refundable Service Charge

We charge a non-refundable service fee for all visits to the customer’s home for appliance repair services not covered under a manufacturer’s warranty. The service charge will be communicated to the customer before scheduling.

  • This fee covers the technician’s travel and the diagnostic assessment of the appliance.
  • The service charge will be applied toward the total repair cost if the customer agrees to proceed with the recommended repair or replacement.
  • The customer acknowledges and agrees that the service fee is due upon completion of the diagnostic, even if they choose not to proceed with the repair.

Payment Terms and Collection Costs

Payment is due upon completion of the repair service unless other arrangements have been made in writing. We accept multiple forms of payment, including cash, check, and major credit cards.

  • If a customer’s payment is returned due to insufficient funds, a processing fee of $50.00 will be applied.
  • Any unpaid balances will incur an 18% annual interest rate, or the maximum allowed by law, whichever is lower.
  • Customers agree to pay all legal and collection fees, including but not limited to attorney’s fees, filing costs, and court fees, if legal action is required to collect unpaid amounts.

Failure to make payment in full may result in the cancellation of warranties, and the customer shall be liable for all unpaid amounts.

Limited Warranty

We provide a limited warranty on all repairs, parts, and labor. The warranty covers:

  • 90 days on labor for repairs performed by us.
  • 1-year warranty on parts, provided our technicians installed them.

Warranty Limitations:

  • The warranty does not apply to damage from misuse, negligence, or improper installation by a third party.
  • We shall not be responsible for repairs on appliances that have been moved from the original installation location.
  • Our technician must inspect defective parts before a warranty claim can be processed.

Customers must notify us within the warranty period if they experience issues with a completed repair.

Limitation of Damages

Appliance Service Pro shall not be liable for:

  • Incidental or consequential damages arising from breach of warranty, contract, or negligence.
  • Loss of food, water damage, or business interruption caused by appliance failure.
  • Indirect or consequential damages beyond the amount paid for the repair service.

This limitation of liability does not apply to claims for personal injury.

Entire Agreement

These terms and conditions of service constitute the entire agreement between Appliance Service Pro and the customer. Any modifications or updates to these terms shall be communicated on our website.

Customers acknowledge and agree that they have read and understood these terms before allowing our technician to commence service.

Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These terms shall be governed by the state’s laws in which the service is provided. Any disputes arising from this agreement shall be resolved through binding arbitration by the Federal Arbitration Act.

Customers agree to indemnify Appliance Service Pro against any claims, liabilities, or damages incurred from using our services.

Damage Waivers

Customers must acknowledge the risks associated with certain appliance repairs and agree to hold Appliance Service Pro harmless from liability for specific damages.

Waiver of Damages When Moving an Appliance

  • Customers acknowledge that moving an appliance may incur risks, including but not limited to damage to flooring, walls, or cabinets.
  • The technician is not required to move the appliance, and if they do, the customer assumes full responsibility for any damage that may occur.

Waiver of Damages When Working with Water

  • Plumbing connections to dishwashers, refrigerators, and washing machines may fail, resulting in leakage or flooding.
  • Appliance Service Pro is not liable for water damage unless it results from gross negligence by our technician.

Waiver of Damages from Failed Cooling Equipment

  • Refrigeration repairs carry inherent risks, including unexpected failure after service.
  • Customers acknowledge that refrigerator repairs may lead to food spoilage, and we shall not be responsible for reimbursement.

Waiver of Damages from Lifting a Glass Cooktop

  • Cooktop repairs require lifting the glass surface, which may crack or break due to adhesive bonds.
  • Customers agree to hold Appliance Service Pro harmless if breakage occurs during service.

Scheduling and Cancellations

Customers are encouraged to schedule services in advance. If a customer needs to cancel or reschedule, we require at least 24 hours’ notice.

  • Customers may be charged a cancellation fee if they fail to provide notice.
  • If a customer is unavailable at the scheduled time, the service order may be canceled, and a new appointment must be scheduled.

Updates to These Terms

Appliance Service Pro reserves the right to modify these terms of service periodically. Updates will be posted on our website, and customers are encouraged to review the terms periodically.

By using our services, you agree to these terms of use and acknowledge that you are responsible for staying informed about any policy updates.
